First Choice is a specialized food & beverage consulting and management company.
We are looking for an experienced “Operations Manager” to lead a coffee house chain in Baghdad, Iraq.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of experience in coffee shop or coffee house operations.
Proven experience with international chains such as Starbucks, Costa Coffee, PAUL, or equivalent regional and international brands.
Track record of managing multiple branches simultaneously.
Hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across branches.
Solid understanding of operational finance: P&L, food & beverage cost, labor cost, and budget management.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations across all branches, ensuring consistent quality and service standards.
Develop and update SOPs, train teams on them, and monitor compliance.
Monitor branch financial performance, achieve sales targets, and drive cost reduction.
Supervise inventory, waste control, and ordering in coordination with the procurement team.
Lead and evaluate branch teams, and take part in hiring and restructuring decisions.
Lead the operational setup and launch of new branches.
Deliver regular performance reports to management.
Required Skills
Strong leadership and decision-making under pressure.
Fluency in Arabic and English.
Very good knowledgement with POS and ERP systems (Odoo experience is a strong plus).
Ability to analyze data and turn it into operational decisions.l
