Role Description The Infrastructure Director at PLLC is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary teams, managing project budgets and timelines, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and establishing standards for infrastructure performance and safety. The Infrastructure Director will monitor operational risks, optimize resource allocation, and implement best practices to improve reliability and resilience across physical and technical infrastructure. The role also involves developing strategic roadmaps, reporting on project status to senior leadership, and mentoring team members to support their growth and performance.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in infrastructure management, project delivery, and strategic planning for large-scale or complex environments.
- Strong background in civil, mechanical, electrical, or related engineering disciplines, with the ability to oversee multidisciplinary teams and vendors.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk frameworks for infrastructure projects, including compliance with local regulations and international standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Infrastructure Management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, Chartered Engineer) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a dynamic environment, prioritize competing demands, and make data-informed decisions under time constraints.
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure technologies, sustainability practices, and digital tools for planning and monitoring (e.g., BIM, asset management systems) is beneficial.
- Previous experience working in the Middle East or within international, multicultural teams is preferred but not required.
