Role Description The Document Controller will manage, organize, and maintain all project-related documents and records for Aldarmarine’s operations in Doha, Qatar. This full-time, on-site role involves receiving, reviewing, registering, and distributing documents such as contracts, drawings, procedures, reports, and correspondence in accordance with company standards. The role includes updating document logs, tracking document revisions, ensuring correct version control, and archiving documents in both electronic and physical formats. The Document Controller will coordinate with project teams, clients, and vendors to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining document templates, enforcing documentation procedures, supporting audits, and generating documentation status reports for management.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong skills in Document Management and Records Management to organize, store, and retrieve information efficiently.
* Candidates should possess solid Documentation and Project Documentation skills to prepare, review, and maintain project files, reports, and technical records.
* Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers and to clarify documentation requirements.
* Candidates should have proficiency with document control software, MS Office tools, and basic database or DMS (Document Management System) applications.
* Candidates should demonstrate high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow structured procedures and deadlines.
* Relevant experience in document control within marine, construction, engineering, or industrial projects is beneficial.
* A diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, information management, or a related field is preferred.
* Fluency in English is required; additional language skills and familiarity with regional regulations in Qatar are an advantage.
