Job Objective
The field supervision of construction works and civil finishing and restoration works. Ensures their implementation according to plans and specifications, with the required quality, on time and within the specified cost, while adhering to safety.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Technical Supervision
- Supervision of construction works: excavation, concrete, buildings, and insulation.
- Supervision of finishing works
- Supervision of restoration works and addressing construction defects.
- Reviewing construction and architectural plans before implementation, and raising any conflicts or observations. To arrange the sequence of works. and architectural
- Coordination with electrical, electromechanical, and architectural engineers to arrange the sequence of works.
- Receiving works and inspecting them before moving to the next phase.
Team and Site Management
- Distributing daily tasks to foremen and monitoring progress.
- Monitoring subcontractors in their specialization.
- Implementing safety requirements on site.
Materials and Costs
- Quantifying and submitting material requests to the purchasing staff in advance.
- Inspecting materials upon receipt and ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Assisting in pricing civil works for bids.
Reports and Documentation
- Daily site report (progress, labor, observations) with photos.
- Documenting receipts and additional works.
- Direct interaction with the client or their consultant on technical matters on site.
- Assisting in operational and maintenance visits as needed.
Skills
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Field experience of 2 to 4 years in contracting, preferably in finishing and restoration.
- Valid membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers.
- Valid driving license.
- For non-Saudis: Transferable residency.
- Ability to join immediately.
Skills
- Reading construction and architectural plans and quantifying.
- Knowledge of Saudi building code in construction works.
- Advance planning for materials and team before starting works.
- Using task assignment and ticket applications for field works and team management.
- Using basic work programs: AutoCAD, Excel, and email.
- Leading a field team and solving problems quickly.
- Good communication in Arabic, and English is a plus.
