Role Description The Captain Waiter role is a full-time, on-site position based at Best Western Plus Abha. The Captain Waiter oversees dining room operations, coordinates the service team, and ensures guests receive timely, professional, and courteous service. Daily tasks include supervising table setups, taking and confirming orders, assisting with food and beverage service, and resolving guest inquiries or concerns. The role involves training and guiding waitstaff, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and collaborating with the kitchen and management to deliver efficient service. The Captain Waiter is expected to model high service standards, support smooth shift operations, and contribute to an excellent guest experience.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong customer service skills and the ability to manage guest relationships professionally.
* Candidates should possess food & beverage and food service skills, including knowledge of menu items and restaurant service procedures.
* Candidates should possess clear and effective communication skills for interacting with guests and coordinating with team members.
* Candidates should possess basic cooking and food handling knowledge to support the kitchen team when needed.
* Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service, preferably in a supervisory or lead waiter role.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or additional languages is an advantage.
