Role Description The Wheel Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating a wheel loader to move, load, and organize materials at company facilities and project sites. This full-time, on-site role is based in Oman and involves daily inspection of the equipment, routine cleaning, and reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors. The operator will load and unload trucks, stockpile materials, maintain proper material placement, and follow site layout instructions to support smooth logistics operations. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, traffic rules within the yard or site, and coordination with supervisors and other equipment operators to complete tasks on schedule. The Wheel Loader Operator will also assist with basic ground work when needed, keep work areas clean and organized, and complete activity logs or checklists as required.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated skill in operating wheel loaders or similar heavy equipment, including safe maneuvering, loading, and material handling in yard or site environments.
* Practical understanding of equipment safety procedures, pre-operation inspections, and routine maintenance checks to ensure reliable and safe operation.
* Ability to follow work instructions, site layouts, and safety guidelines, with attention to detail and awareness of surroundings in busy operational areas.
* Basic communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, truck drivers, and co-workers, including reporting equipment issues and safety hazards clearly.
* Previous experience in construction, mining, logistics, or industrial yard operations is highly beneficial.
* Relevant operator license or certification for wheel loader or heavy equipment, in accordance with local regulations in Oman.
* Physical ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, stand or sit for extended periods, and perform occasional manual tasks safely.
* Commitment to a safety-first culture, reliability in attendance for full-time shifts, and willingness to work extended or weekend hours when operationally required.
