Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Structural Design Engineer role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Structural Design Engineer will perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures, ensuring safety, code compliance, and constructability. Daily tasks include developing and reviewing engineering drawings and models using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, preparing design calculations and technical reports, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role involves reviewing technical packages, supporting design revisions, and providing engineering input during project planning, execution, and value engineering activities. The engineer will contribute to continuous improvement of design standards, assist in resolving technical issues on projects, and support mentoring of less experienced team members when needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building.
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis, including the use of relevant software tools for load assessment, structural modeling, and code-based design checks.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and REVIT for preparing, reviewing, and updating structural drawings and details.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (2-3) years.
- Knowledge of regional and international building codes and standards, preferably within the MENA region.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and manage time across multiple projects.
- Previous experience in consulting or design offices and familiarity with steel structures or complex building projects is an advantage.
