Dr. Ali Zamel Manshad
An academic researcher and specialist in material physics and renewable energy, working at the Environmental, Water and Renewable Energy Research Center under the Scientific Research Council in Baghdad.
My research and experimental work focus on advanced photovoltaic technologies and optoelectronic devices, with an emphasis on developing and characterizing novel, high-efficiency, and eco-friendly materials. Key areas of work and projects include:
- Advanced Photovoltaics & Nanomaterials: Fabrication and characterization of metal oxide-based solar cells (such as Co3O4 and TiO2), lead-free perovskite absorbers (such as CsSnI3), and the integration of plasmonic metal nanoparticles (AuNPs) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) to enhance optical absorption and charge carrier dynamics.
- Experimental Techniques & Numerical Modeling: Implementing solution- and vapor-based deposition methods (including spin coating, chemical spray pyrolysis, and PLFL), alongside device-level numerical simulation and optoelectrical analysis using SCAPS-1D, solar cell simulators, FTIR, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, LCR meters, and Hall Effect measurement systems.
- Academic Review & Scholarly Contributions: Serving as an active peer reviewer for international publishing houses (including IOP Publishing, Elsevier, and Springer Nature), backed by several registered patents in solar energy harvesting and sustainable technological solutions.
