We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to support engineering projects through technical drafting, site inspections, measurements, and construction documentation. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and technical drawings, with the ability to assist engineers in ensuring projects meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Assist civil engineers with planning, coordinating, and monitoring construction and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, construction plans, layouts, and engineering documentation.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and verify work against approved specifications.
- Perform measurements, surveys, and basic calculations to support engineering activities.
- Assist with material testing, quality inspections, and the collection of technical site data.
- Monitor construction materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspection reports, measurements, and project documentation.
- Identify and report construction issues, technical concerns, or deviations from approved plans.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, supervisors, and other project personnel to support daily operations.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, technical summaries, and project-related documentation.
- Follow established engineering procedures, workplace safety guidelines, and quality control standards.
- Support troubleshooting and practical problem-solving during construction and maintenance activities.
✅ Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in civil engineering, construction, infrastructure projects, or site operations is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and technical specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with surveying equipment, measurement tools, and basic engineering software is an advantage.
- Knowledge of construction quality control and workplace health and safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers and construction teams.
- Willingness to learn new technical procedures, engineering tools, and construction practices.
