We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trade Marketing Manager based in Oman to support market performance, sales forecasting, trade spend management and in-store execution across our food categories. The role works closely with sales, distributors and cross-functional teams to drive growth.
DESCRIPTION:
Market performance and forecasting
•Track sales, IMS, sell-out, shipments and supply risks using distributor updates, forecast trackers, EPOS and Nielsen data.
•Identify performance gaps with Sales, agree actions and follow through on delivery.
•Own the monthly sales forecast and year-to-go IMS outlook. Challenge assumptions, explain changes from the previous forecast and align submissions with key stakeholders.
Trade spend and revenue growth
•Develop quarterly promotional plans by retailer and channel, aligned with category and revenue growth priorities.
•Plan and track trade and below-the-line spend against approved budgets; evaluate promotional results and return on investment.
•Partner with Sales and revenue growth teams on pricing, promotions and product mix. Work with Sales and Customer Service to reduce ageing stock.
Business reviews and planning
•Lead business reviews with clear performance analysis, risks, opportunities and action plans.
•Align Sales and Finance on market assumptions and inputs for management reviews and S&OP.
•Run monthly reviews with distributors and track agreed actions to completion.
Market intelligence and execution
•Conduct at least two market visits per month to assess availability, pricing, promotions, competitors, POSM and merchandising.
•Turn market findings into commercial recommendations.
•Manage in-store activations from store-level planning and budgeting through execution and post-activity evaluation.
New product launches
•Coordinate launches across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and distributors.
•Assess pricing, forecasts, listing fees and profitability; secure approvals and confirm product availability.
•Track listings, distribution, sell-in and IMS during the first six months after launch.
Annual budget planning
•Own the annual budget process, building a baseline that accounts for one-off volumes, out-of-stock gaps and recovery opportunities.
•Quantify growth initiatives, required investments and financial impact, with appropriate phasing across key commercial periods.
•Present assumptions, growth drivers, risks and opportunities to management and incorporate agreed feedback.
