Role Description The Technical Tender Engineer is responsible for managing the full tendering process, from reviewing inquiries and technical specifications to preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals. This full-time on-site role, based in New Cairo, involves analyzing project requirements, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and operations teams, and ensuring that proposals comply with client specifications, industry standards, and company policies. The role includes preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and proposal documentation, as well as clarifying technical queries with clients and suppliers. The Technical Tender Engineer will track tender deadlines, support negotiations, update tender databases and records, and provide regular reports on tender status and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong technical background in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Experience in tendering and estimation for construction, engineering, or related industrial projects, including cost analysis and proposal preparation.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and familiarity with project management or estimation software.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and interact professionally with clients and suppliers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tenders, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Previous experience in the construction or industrial sector in a similar tendering, estimation, or proposal engineering role is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of regional market practices, local regulations, and international standards relevant to construction and engineering projects is an advantage.
