Location: Dubai, U.A.E
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team and take responsibility for the preparation and management of detailed cost estimates for high-rise building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for high-rise building projects.
- Review and analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and prepare detailed pricing.
- Perform rate analysis for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor works, and construction activities.
- Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare competitive and commercially viable tender proposals.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost impacts.
- Coordinate with the commercial, procurement, engineering, and project teams during the tendering process.
- Review scope changes, variations, and additional works and assess their cost implications.
- Maintain and update cost databases, historical rates, and market pricing.
- Assist with value engineering and cost optimization while maintaining project requirements and quality.
- Participate in tender clarification meetings and negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ensure estimates are prepared accurately and submitted within the required deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in construction estimating, with significant experience in high-rise building projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, and finishing works.
- Experience in preparing detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, labor productivity, and market rates.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and relevant estimating/quantity surveying software.
- Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience working on projects in the UAE/GCC is preferred.
