Role Description
A Finance Director is responsible for leading financial strategy, planning, reporting, budgeting, risk management, and financial operations while supporting business performance, compliance, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- * Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and controls.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury activities.
- Monitor revenue, profitability, cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
- Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
- Manage banking relationships, liquidity, financing, and cash management.
- Identify and manage financial, operational, and business risks.
- Maintain effective internal controls, financial procedures, and governance standards.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax advisors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor costs, investments, capital expenditure, and business performance.
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee finance systems, reporting processes, and financial process improvements.
- Lead, manage, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Support strategic investments, business expansion, and major corporate decisions.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in finance management or senior financial leadership.
* Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
* Experience with cash flow, working capital, cost control, and financial risk management.
* Strong understanding of IFRS, UAE tax, VAT, and financial regulations.
* Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or ACA is advantageous.
* Experience with SAP, Oracle, ERP, or financial management systems.
* Strong analytical, strategic, financial, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
* Strong commercial and business understanding.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint*.
* Ability to manage complex financial matters and multiple priorities.
* Strong confidentiality, integrity, and professional judgment.
* UAE/GCC finance and accounting experience is advantageous.
