Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tendering Engineer (Arch) role based in Cairo. The Tendering Engineer will prepare and review architectural tender documents, including bills of quantities, technical proposals, and cost estimations for construction and fit-out projects. Daily responsibilities include analyzing project specifications and drawings, coordinating with design, engineering, and procurement teams, and requesting and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations. The role involves ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards, supporting value engineering initiatives, and maintaining accurate tender records and documentation. The Tendering Engineer will also participate in tender clarification meetings, provide technical input to negotiations, and support the handover of successful bids to project execution teams.
Qualifications
- * Candidates should possess strong expertise in preparing and evaluating Quotations, including cost estimation and bid compilation for architectural and construction projects.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret drawings, specifications, and data, perform comparative studies, and support value engineering and risk assessment.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, and for producing clear technical and commercial documentation.
- Candidates should possess Procurement-related skills, including sourcing suppliers, requesting and reviewing offers, and supporting negotiation and vendor selection.
- Candidates should possess a good understanding of Electrical Engineering or related building services to coordinate architectural tenders with MEP requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related construction discipline.
- Experience in tendering or estimating within construction, fit-out, or design & build projects, preferably in residential, commercial, or hospitality sectors.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software).
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work under time constraints, and commitment to accuracy and integrity in tender submissions.
