Job Purpose:
Provide technical support for the execution of engineering projects related to data centers, HVAC systems, and generators. Project planning, tendering, cost estimation, and technical documentation, ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
Main job duties and responsibilities:
- Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with design consultants, site engineers, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals.
- Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with the design intent and client requirements.
- Prepare and review technical specifications and BOQs for HVAC, generators, and data center infrastructure.
- Participate in the evaluation of supplier/vendor quotations based on technical and commercial criteria.
- Assist in preparing tender packages, responding to RFI (Requests for Information), and providing clarifications to contractors.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Analyze project risks, construction methods, and technical solutions to provide value engineering.
- Support the budgeting process by providing detailed material and labor cost breakdowns.
- Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to ensure timely delivery of technical office deliverables.
- Track and report project milestones and technical issues impacting progress.
- Support in procurement planning and technical evaluation of materials and equipment.
- Conduct technical training sessions and workshops for junior engineers, technicians, and site personnel.
Job requirements:
Educational background and previous experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- From 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in projects related to data centers, HVAC, and generators.
