Role Description The Solar Energy Engineer (4–6 years of experience) will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing solar power and photovoltaic (PV) systems for commercial and industrial projects. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site assessments, preparing detailed PV and electrical design layouts, performing energy yield calculations, and supporting installation and commissioning activities. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, coordinating with cross-functional engineering and project teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. The engineer will monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency and reliability. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Qesm El Nozha.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the solar industry, including market trends, technologies, and applicable standards.
- Hands-on experience with solar power and solar systems, including sizing, configuration, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in PV design, including layout preparation, string configuration, and energy yield modeling.
- Solid electrical design skills related to solar installations, including single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and cable sizing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4–6 years of professional Proven experience In solar energy engineering or PV system design and implementation .
- Familiarity with PV design and simulation tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar) and CAD software.
- Understanding of relevant IEC, NEC, and local electrical codes and safety practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to technical detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Net salary range from 13k to 18k
