Role Description
The Site Civil Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman, Jordan, responsible for overseeing and coordinating civil works on residential and commercial construction projects. Daily tasks include supervising site activities, ensuring that designs and plans are implemented correctly, monitoring work progress, and maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and local regulatory standards.
The role involves collaborating with project managers, architects, contractors, and other engineers to resolve technical issues, optimize construction methods, and manage resources efficiently. The Site Civil Engineer will review drawings and specifications, prepare site reports, track quantities and materials, and provide technical guidance to site teams. The position also includes conducting inspections, supporting testing procedures, and contributing to planning and scheduling to keep projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of practical experience in the execution of construction projects.
Proven hands-on experience in the full execution cycle of construction projects, covering structural works, architectural works, and final finishing activities, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate site activities throughout all project stages.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and effectively monitor their implementation on site.
Good knowledge of MEP works and the ability to coordinate and follow up with relevant parties.
Proficiency in engineering software and computer applications relevant to site operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage site activities, coordinate works, make decisions, and efficiently resolve on-site issues.
