We’re hiring: Podcast Operator, Dubai Design District (d3)
Short is a French creative agency, leader in its market in France, with 500+ companies supported in 3 years. We are now building our UAE branch from our new offices in Dubai Design District.
We are opening a professional podcast studio there, and we’re looking for the person who will run it day to day.
The role
You own every recording session, from the moment the guests walk in to the moment they leave with their files. You make sure clients have a great experience, and you make sure the recording goes smoothly.
What you’ll do
- Welcome clients and guests, brief them and make them feel at ease on camera
- Prepare the studio before each session: cameras, lighting, microphones, sound checks
- Run recordings of up to 4 guests and keep an eye on image and sound throughout
- Back up the rushes and hand them over to clients at the end of each session
- Manage the studio calendar and bookings
- Keep the studio clean, tidy and ready for the next session
- Take care of the equipment and flag anything that needs fixing
Requirements (applications that don’t meet them will not be considered)
- Previous experience as an operator or technician in a podcast studio (at least 1 year)
- Previous experience in a client-facing role: studio, hospitality, events or similar
- Currently based in Dubai
- Able to work onsite at Dubai Design District (d3)
- Professional level of English
Nice to have
- French speaker (most of our clients are French-speaking)
- Valid UAE residence visa and work permit
- Available for some evening or weekend sessions
- Able to start quickly
