Role Description The Blasting Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Salalah, with a combination of on-site project work and some work-from-home tasks such as planning, documentation, and reporting. The role involves designing blast patterns, calculating charge quantities, and preparing detailed blast plans in line with safety regulations and client specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising drilling and charging activities, coordinating with site supervisors and contractors, and ensuring safe handling, storage, and transportation of explosives. The Blasting Engineer monitors blast performance, conducts post-blast assessments, and optimizes designs for fragmentation, vibration control, and cost efficiency. Additional tasks include preparing technical reports, maintaining compliance with local laws and industry standards, and supporting training and safety briefings for site personnel.
