Role Description The Senior Network Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo, responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of the company’s network infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices, as well as managing user access and connectivity across locations. The role involves diagnosing and resolving network issues, coordinating with system administrators and technical support teams, and implementing upgrades or changes to meet business needs. The Senior Network Administrator will also develop and enforce network security policies, perform regular audits and documentation, and participate in planning for capacity, redundancy, and disaster recovery. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior technical staff are key aspects of this position.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Network Administration, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of network devices and services.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose, prioritize, and resolve complex network-related issues.
- Experience in System Administration, including integration of network and server environments and basic OS management.
- Applied expertise in Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, access control, and security best practices.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, HP, or similar) and common network protocols.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work on-site in New Cairo and collaborate across teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in network administration, preferably in a BPO, call center, or enterprise environment
