Role Description The Finance Director is a part-time, hybrid role based in Manama, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budget management, and resource allocation for the chapter’s events, programs, and initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring cash flows, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to chapter leadership and stakeholders. The Finance Director will develop financial policies and controls, support fundraising and sponsorship efforts, and provide analytical insights to guide strategic and operational decisions. The role also involves collaborating with student officers, advisors, and external partners to maintain transparent, compliant, and sustainable financial practices.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Finance with demonstrated experience in Financial Planning and budgeting.
Ability to prepare, interpret, and manage Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in an organized and timely manner.
Excellent Analytical Skills to assess financial performance, support decision-making, and optimize resource use.
Proficiency with common accounting and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or similar software).
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or currently enrolled in a relevant degree program).
Attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to transparent financial management.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with student teams, faculty advisors, and external sponsors.
Prior experience in student organizations, non-profits, or event budgeting is an advantage.
