As an Asset Liability & Capital Management (ALCM) Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's balance sheet governance, capital management, liquidity monitoring, and funding strategy. Working closely with Treasury, Finance, Risk, and senior leadership teams, you will help prepare and deliver the analysis, commentary, and insights that underpin Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) decision-making. You will be responsible for supporting ALCO processes, preparing ALCO packs, analysing capital and liquidity positions, and helping establish scalable balance sheet management capabilities for a new banking institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate high-quality ALCO packs, including financial analysis, commentary, and recommendations.
- Support the end-to-end ALCO governance process and work closely with stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, and Risk.
- Monitor and analyse capital adequacy, liquidity, funding, and structural balance sheet risks.
- Support liquidity management and balance sheet optimisation activities.
- Produce management reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to ICAAP, stress testing, and forecasting activities.
- Analyse and support Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) frameworks and reporting.
- Build and maintain analytical models and reporting capabilities supporting treasury and balance sheet management.
Essential requirements:
- Experience within a banking environment, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong understanding of Asset Liability Management (ALM) and balance sheet management.
- Hands-on experience supporting or working with Asset-Liability Committees (ALCO).
- Proven track record preparing and presenting ALCO packs and management information.
- Experience managing or analysing liquidity, funding, interest rate risk, and capital positions.
- Strong understanding of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP).
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and provide meaningful commercial insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred
- Knowledge of CBUAE regulatory requirements and liquidity frameworks.
- Professional finance qualifications such as CFA, FRM, PRM, or similar.
- Experience supporting ICAAP and stress testing processes.
Qualifications:(Preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative discipline.
- Progress toward a professional finance or risk certification (e.g. CFA, FRM, or PRM) is preferred.
- Candidates must meet CBUAE Fit & Proper requirements, and any applicable controlled-function eligibility criteria, on an ongoing basis where required.
