Strong Plant Energy is hiring two newly qualified Chartered Accountants for our finance team in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
This is a hands-on role across the full accounting cycle. Here is what we need you to do.
What you'll do
- Prepare and issue customer invoices from contracts and LPOs, making sure every chargeable item and the correct VAT is billed
- Maintain accounts receivable: customer ledgers, statements of account, ageing reports and follow-up of overdue balances
- Maintain accounts payable: record supplier invoices against POs and delivery notes, reconcile supplier statements and prepare payment schedules
- Prepare monthly bank, customer and supplier reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed asset register: additions, monthly depreciation, transfers and disposals, reconciled to the general ledger
- Prepare VAT schedules and support UAE VAT returns and Corporate Tax compliance
- Post journals, accruals and prepayments, and complete your month-end closing tasks on time
- Prepare monthly management (MIS) reports and cash-flow updates
- Keep supporting documents organised and audit-ready, and assist external auditors
- Work in Odoo ERP and help improve our accounting processes
What we're looking for
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI), newly qualified or up to two years post-qualification
- Strong accounting fundamentals (Ind AS / IFRS) built during articleship
- Confident with Excel: pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS
- Exposure to Tally, Odoo or another ERP is an advantage
- Awareness of UAE VAT or Corporate Tax is a plus
- Accurate, organised and able to meet month-end deadlines
- Currently based in the UAE preferred
