About Napper
Napper is a fast-growing startup building experiences to help make bedtime easier for parents and children. The Napper app has been used by more than five million parents around the world and has more than 90,000 five-star reviews. The app is frequently featured on the App Store as an Editors’ Choice app, and has been App of the Day around the world.
Our vision is ambitious; crafting and launching AAA-products that serve as essential digital partners for parents in their everyday life. Leveraging the latest technology combined with empathic, human-centered design, we are scaling to become a household name for all families, everywhere. Our mission is to make sure each parent goes to bed at night feeling like the best parent in the world.
We are backed by some of Sweden’s most prominent angel investors and two international top-tier VC firms. That being said, we are also cash flow positive.
How we work
We are a tight group of talented (arguably), fun (subjectively) and creative (definitively) people pushing the boundaries of product and business development. We are ambitious, but more importantly curious. We ask questions. We try things. We ideate and iterate. And sometimes, we even argue. Because we feel for the things we build.
But most of all, we support each other. We laugh a lot. And we strive to make sure every person is really looking forward to coming into the office, every day. However, we also value freedom highly, and will cater to your needs whenever you need work to be flexible.
What we look for
You are a product designer who cares about how things feel and work, not just how they look. You are excited to be part of our journey scaling Napper, and you want to design for people at their most tired and most vulnerable: a parent at 3 a.m. with a baby who won’t sleep. You learn fast, you actively seek responsibility, and you get motivated by ambiguous problems where the right answer has to be found rather than looked up. You love craft, you love details, and you find joy in shipping experiences millions of people actually use.
Our philosophy is to hire selectively and invest heavily in the people who work with us. If you become one of us - we’ll go above and beyond to make sure you find your work meaningful, inspiring, and stimulating, and feel fully supported by both your peers and superiors. We will evaluate your performance and re-negotiate your salary twice a year.
What you will be doing
You will work hand in hand with the CPO, our Visual Design Lead and our engineers to shape what Napper looks and feels like for millions of parents around the world. As a Product Designer at Napper, you’ll own the product experience end to end: understanding what parents need, sketching and prototyping solutions, testing them, and working closely with our engineers to make sure what ships is what we designed. You’ll work side by side with our Visual Design Lead, who owns our visual language and design system, so that product logic and craft come together into something that feels calm, warm and human rather than technical. You’ll explore what AI makes possible in the product and find the interaction patterns that make it feel natural at 3 a.m. We don’t believe in micromanagement, so you’ll have the freedom and the responsibility to follow your curiosity and make a real impact.
