About The RoleThe Document Engineer is responsible for the creation, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and quality of client-facing proposals, contracts, reports, and other documents used within the WeSuite platform.
In this role, you will work from clearly defined project scope and requirements provided by Project Management and will translate those requirements into accurate, professional deliverables. Document Engineers also support Project Managers during client interactions where technical expertise is required.
The ideal candidate does not simply complete assigned tasks; they enjoy solving complex technical problems, learning new technologies, working with data, and finding more efficient ways to complete work. An applicant who combines technical ability, precision, curiosity, and a commitment to quality will excel in this role. As WeSuite increasingly utilizes AI-assisted development and automation tools, the Document Engineer is expected to actively use these technologies to improve quality, accelerate troubleshooting, reduce repetitive work, and develop better solutions.
Strong attention to detail is essential, because the software generates legally binding proposals and contracts. This includes carefully reviewing document formatting and presentation, verifying data and calculations, testing conditional logic, identifying inconsistencies, and ensuring the final product looks professional and functions correctly before being presented to the client.
Responsibilities
- * Create, configure, and program client proposals, contracts, reports, and other custom documents using WeSuite's Document Editor and related technologies.
- Translate project scope, specifications, examples, and client requirements into technically accurate document solutions.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail throughout the document-development process, including visual presentation, data accuracy, and overall professional appearance.
- Test document output using multiple scenarios within WeSuite applications.
- Troubleshoot data, configuration, and application issues to help determine root cause.
- Clearly document software defects and technical findings for escalation to Quality Assurance or Development when required.
- Actively utilize AI assistance to generate or improve code, automate repetitive tasks, and increase the speed and quality of delivery
- Identify opportunities for automation and reusable solutions.
- Develop standards and best practices that improve the efficiency of future document projects.
- Work closely with Project Managers to provide estimates and status updates, and to identify risks.
- Support Project Managers during client meetings when deeper technical expertise is necessary.
- Assist Client Support with the investigation and resolution of document-related issues.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Development, and other resources as needed.
- Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of WeSuite software, configuration, document capabilities, data structures, tools, and related systems.
- Create internal technical documentation and Knowledge Base content that helps other team members understand document features, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
RequirementsCandidates should have experience with, or the ability to quickly develop proficiency in, the following:
- Microsoft SQL Server (queries, views, stored procedures, and performance tuning)
- Relational databases and data relationships
- C# (conditional logic, formulas, and expressions)
- HTML
- Crystal Reports or comparable reporting technologies
- Microsoft Windows environments
- Microsoft Excel and Word
- Enterprise software applications
- Application troubleshooting
- Data analysis and validation
- AI-assisted development and productivity tools
Nice to Have
- Experience accessing and working within cloud-hosted environments, such as AWS EC2 instances,
- via remote desktop (RDP)
- Experience with Monday.com, Zendesk, or similar project-management and support platforms
