Public Interest Design - Levant
Public Interest Design Levant (PID) is a non-profit, multidisciplinary organization working at the intersection of design thinking, research, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. Our mission is to identify real needs and opportunities within communities and transform them into sustainable initiatives that create shared social, economic, cultural, and environmental value. PID uses a research-based and participatory approach that brings together residents, civic organizations, private companies, public institutions, and educational institutions. By engaging stakeholders throughout the development process, PID builds ownership, facilitates cooperation, aligns interests, and increases the sustainability and impact of development initiatives. Its methodology follows a continuous four-stage cycle: needs assessment and baseline research, analysis, participatory design, and implementation. Each intervention is tested, evaluated, and improved through feedback and data, creating a continuous learning loop. PID also operates as a CSR and Creating Shared Value (CSV) consultancy, helping private-sector organizations align their social and environmental objectives with community needs and development opportunities. Through its network and research capabilities, PID connects businesses with meaningful initiatives that generate measurable impact while creating value for all stakeholders. Ultimately, we are fostering to become a reference for research-based development and development consultancy, building a strong ecosystem of knowledge, partnerships, innovation, and investment capable of turning community needs into sustainable opportunities.
