SCA’s Efforts to Empower Women and Youth to Lead Self-Sustainable Livelihoods Promotes economic empowerment of women and youth through livelihood recovery programs, vocational training, and income-generating activities. Provides capacity-building workshops to strengthen leadership, entrepreneurship, and community engagement among women and young people. Implements integrated livelihood models linking humanitarian aid with long-term self-reliance strategies. Supports women-led initiatives that enhance resilience, social inclusion, and participation in local decision-making. Why SCA is Best Placed to Address the Crisis Actively intervenes in crisis-affected areas across Lebanon, particularly in the South, Bekaa, and Beirut’s suburbs. Delivers comprehensive humanitarian assistance, including food and non-food items, hygiene kits, and emergency cash support. Provides mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) and protection services to crisis-affected women, youth, and families. Combines humanitarian response with long-term empowerment by promoting resilience, livelihoods, and women’s leadership. Possesses strong community presence and trust, ensuring inclusive and locally driven interventions. Experience with Similar Projects Implemented projects focusing on women’s livelihood recovery, vocational and skills training for youth, and community-based resilience building. Led protection and MHPSS programs targeting displaced and host communities affected by conflict and economic crisis. Partnered with local and international organizations to strengthen women’s participation in humanitarian coordination and response (FAO, Zovigian partnership, Cedar Biosphere and others). Demonstrated proven capacity, technical expertise, and accountability systems to manage donor-funded humanitarian and recovery programs.
