Objective of the Assignment:
The consultant will work closely with PWHO's program and management teams to identify funding opportunities and to draft, edit, and finalize competitive proposals and concept notes aligned with PWHO's mission and individual donor requirements.
Scope of Work:
Review calls for proposals and donor guidelines to assess eligibility and strategic fit.
Draft and edit concept notes, full proposals, logical frameworks, and budget narratives, in coordination with program and finance staff.
Ensure all submissions comply with donor formatting, language, and eligibility requirements.
Incorporate feedback from PWHO leadership and revise drafts through to final submission.
Support development of a reusable proposal template / boilerplate language bank for future submissions.
Deliverables:
Donor-ready proposals and/or concept notes submitted within the consultancy period.
A reusable proposal-writing guide/template for PWHO's internal use.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (international development, social sciences, humanities, or related)
Minimum [3–5] years of experience writing successful proposals for NGOs/INGOs, ideally in the MENA region
Strong written English (Arabic an asset)
Familiarity with major donor requirements (UN agencies, EU, private foundations, etc.)
Excellent writing, editing, and budget-narrative skills
Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Reporting Line:
The consultant will report to Executive Director at PWHO.
