- Project Overview
SHiFT is preparing to implement an Emergency Food Assistance Project in collaboration with humanitarian partners to support vulnerable populations residing in shelters across North Lebanon. The project aims to ensure the safe, timely, and accountable preparation, monitoring, and distribution of meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality control, monitoring, and accountability.
To support the implementation of the project, SHiFT is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the available positions, subject to project activation by the donor.
- Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Project Implementation and Field Coordination
- Support the implementation of project activities in accordance with approved work plans, schedules, and WFP requirements.
- Coordinate daily field activities, including food distributions and other assigned project activities.
- Coordinate with Field Assistants, volunteers, shelters, kitchens, and relevant focal points to ensure smooth implementation.
- Monitor field activities and immediately report any deviations, operational challenges, or incidents to the Project Coordinator.
- Support the organization of field teams, schedules, transportation, and distribution arrangements.
Distribution and Operational Follow-up
- Ensure distributions are conducted in an organized, timely, and accountable manner.
- Verify beneficiary lists and support reconciliation between planned beneficiaries and actual distributions.
- Follow up on distribution documentation, attendance records, and other required supporting documents.
- Monitor distribution sites and coordinate with relevant team members to address operational gaps or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and applicable project procedures during project activities.
Monitoring, Accountability and Safeguarding
- Monitor the quality of project implementation and ensure adherence to SHiFT and WFP procedures and standards.
- Support the proper handling and referral of beneficiary feedback and complaints.
- Report protection, safeguarding, PSEA, or other sensitive concerns through the appropriate reporting channels.
- Promote accountability toward beneficiaries and ensure respectful and professional conduct in the field.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare accurate and timely field and activity reports.
- Maintain complete and organized project documentation in accordance with SHiFT and donor requirements.
- Track project activities, challenges, follow-up actions, and implementation progress.
- Support the collection and verification of project data required for reporting.
- Ensure proper filing of beneficiary lists, attendance records, distribution documents, and other supporting documentation.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate and follow up with Field Assistants and volunteers during project activities.
- Provide clear instructions and operational guidance to field teams.
- Escalate issues requiring management intervention to the Project Coordinator.
- Participate in project meetings, briefings, debriefings, and lessons-learned sessions.
Perform other duties as required:
- Comply with SHiFT policies, Code of Conduct, safeguarding/PSEA requirements, security procedures, and WFP/donor requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary and project information.
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator or management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Food and Nutrition, Public Health, or any related field.
- Previous experience in humanitarian or NGO field operations, particularly distributions or emergency response.
- Experience in field coordination, beneficiary management, monitoring, and reporting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate field teams and work effectively under pressure.
- Good command of Arabic and English.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to project locations.
- Valid driving license is an asset.
Duration
Until 31 December 2026, subject to extension based on project needs and funding availability.
