Proud Lebanon is seeking a creative and experienced freelance videographer to produce three engaging storytelling videos that raise awareness about HIV, challenge stigma and encourage access to confidential, respectful services.

Through this assignment, we aim to share accurate information and human stories that reflect the dignity, experiences and voices of people living with or affected by HIV.

About the assignment

Working closely with Proud Lebanon’s team, the selected videographer will develop and produce three short videos for social media and other digital platforms. The campaigns will focus on:

HIV prevention and testing: Increasing awareness and encouraging voluntary testing and access to prevention services.

Living well with HIV: Promoting treatment awareness, adherence and positive messages about health and well-being.

Addressing stigma and discrimination: Challenging misconceptions and highlighting the importance of inclusive, confidential and community-led services.

Each video is expected to be approximately three to five minutes, with the final format and creative direction agreed with Proud Lebanon.

Main responsibilities

The videographer will manage the production process, from initial ideas to final delivery. This includes:
Developing creative concepts, story outlines and a production schedule.
Preparing scripts or interview questions and coordinating filming with our team.
Recording high-quality footage and sound.
Editing the videos and adding captions, subtitles, branding and approved messages.
Incorporating feedback and delivering final versions suitable for digital platforms, alongside the agreed source materials.
Proud Lebanon will provide guidance on campaign messages, facilitate coordination with participants and review HIV-related information for accuracy.

Ethical and respectful storytelling

Protecting participants is central to this assignment. The selected videographer must understand informed consent, confidentiality and sensitive storytelling, including ways to protect identities when needed. All content must avoid stereotypes and ensure that participants are represented respectfully and safely.

Who should apply?

We are looking for someone with:

Demonstrated experience in videography, documentary storytelling or digital campaign production.
A strong portfolio of short, engaging videos.
Technical skills in filming, sound recording, editing and subtitling.
The ability to communicate sensitive topics clearly and respectfully.
Strong coordination skills and the ability to meet agreed deadlines.
Proficiency in Arabic and/or English; French is an asset.
Experience working on HIV, public health, human rights or community-based initiatives is an advantage.

Contract and budget

This is a freelance consultancy, with filming arrangements and the production timeline agreed with the selected candidate.

The total available budget is USD 2,000, all inclusive, covering preparation, filming, equipment, local transportation, editing, subtitles, revisions and other production costs.
