SOCIAL WORKER (Full Time) – Beirut based (2 positions)

Migration Services and Development (MSD) is a Lebanese NGO working to strengthen the protection and psychosocial well-being of displaced and conflict-affected communities, including Lebanese returnees, Syrian refugees, and migrant workers.

MSD is launching a new project aiming to enhance emotional well-being, social connectedness, and access to protection services. To support the implementation of project activities, MSD is hiring two Social Workers who will report to the Project Coordinator. This position is based in Beirut, with regular field travel across Beirut, Metn, Chouf, and Saida.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide structured case management.
• Facilitate protection awareness sessions (women and men).
• Distribute Emergency Cash Assistance (ECA) to beneficiaries based on their vulnerabilities and needs, in coordination with the line manager.
• Implement safe identification and referral procedures using the Inter-Agency Referral Form (IARF).
• Ensure that the required documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain ethical documentation with confidentiality.
• Uphold MSD's ethical and safeguarding standards at all times.
• Case management:
  • Assess the beneficiaries’ needs and risks,
  • Develop an individual case plan,
  • Provide follow-up and support,
  • Make internal and external referrals,
  • Document all information in the social file,
  • Close the case when goals are achieved.

 

Requirements

• Degree in Social Work or related field.
• 2+ years of NGO experience.
• Strong understanding of protection ethics and confidentiality.
• The candidate should have a car and a driver's license for this position.
