PHC Field Coordinator-MoPH in Lebanon at Médecins Du Monde - France

Primary Health Care (PHC) department

Objective: Lebanon’s National PHC Network is comprised of PHC centers distributed across eight Governorates. The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) contracts public and private PHC centers based on a delineated set of criteria, and provides them with essential drugs, vaccines, medical and educational supplies, staff training, capacity building and health information systems. In return, these centers provide consultations at reduced costs and free essential medications (Chronic and acute) and vaccines to all.

The MoPH monitors the performance of these PHC centers through regular field visits conducted by PHC field Coordinators

I. Qualifications and Experience

The PHC Field Coordinator will have the following qualifications and experience profile:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct regular field visits to PHCCs in the governorate.
Administer facility level checklists and surveys
Ensuring all field documentation (log sheets, attendance sheets etc..) is met
Follow-up on the implementation of all the programs at the PHCC level
Assess progress to targets, and implementation barriers and provide recommendations
Monitor the dispensing and use of medications, vaccines, and equipment related to the health information system at a regional level.
Facilitate and support the set up and use of the HIS (Health information system) at the PHCCs
Evaluate training needs of PHCC staff and coordinate with the Central Team to provide the required support
Support in developing a comprehensive communication plan for continuity of care at the PHC cener.
Build capacity of Health Care Providers in implementing the communication plan
Provide overall support to PHC center in the management of risk communication
Manage the PHC center digital communication, including community management, content production and dissemination through their social media platforms.
Follow-up on grievances related to the PHCCs assigned to them (calling beneficiaries, investigating grievances through field visits, etc.)
Assist the PHCCs in preparing for an accreditation survey
Distribute educational material and/or supplies to PHCCs
Collaborate other field coordinators in field visits when needed
Actively participate in any study or research activity conducted by the MoPH in collaboration with other partners
Prepare monthly reports that summarize activities done

• Perform other duties as required by the PHC Department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in nursing (preferable), or equivalent health related field, Masters Public Health preferable
At least 2 years of experience in public health projects
Preferably with knowledge of the public sector in Lebanon and its overall structure and policy objectives;
Demonstrated ability to perform smoothly and efficiently in a team-based environment;

Demonstrated ability to motivate and promote collaboration among diverse team members;
Demonstrated problem-solving skills;
Strong communication skills, both orally and writing, in English and Arabic;
Demonstrated competence in the use of Microsoft Office
Other administrative tasks as requested by the Head of the PHC department.
