Position Summary:
Medair is seeking committed and motivated Shelter Support Volunteers to assist with a variety of shelter activities across different areas in South.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments with beneficiaries to evaluate their shelter conditions and gather other relevant data.
- Support the Shelter Assistant and Officer in the day-to-day activities.
- Assist the Shelter team in conducting field assessments to evaluate the condition of collective shelters or shelter units (houses) and monitor the contractor's work.
- Accurately record and report findings from assessments, ensuring all information is completed, organized and comprehensive.
- Ensure proper documentation, filing and submission of all collected data.
- Conduct phone calls with beneficiaries for monitoring, conducting sessions, and collecting data.
- Drive Medair vehicles when assigned and authorized (for volunteers holding a valid driving licence).
- Comply with Medair's policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct/ethics at all times.
Qualifications and Requirments:
- Bachelor's degree (enginnering background is an advantage),
- Valid Lebanese driving licence is required only for volunteers assigned driving responsibilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and willing to support different programme activities.
- Ability to work in the field under changing operational conditions.
- Previous volunteering or humanitarian experience is an asset.
