Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with hospital protocols.
Assists with personal care tasks like bathing, dressing, and feeding according to medical order.
Prepares patients to surgical procedures (shaving, giving enemas…),
Helps patients with mobility and positioning, including transfers and ambulation.
Offers emotional support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing concerns.
Follows infection control protocols, such as hand hygiene and sterilization procedures, to prevent the spread of infections.
Weights and measures the height of all admitted patients to the floor.
Puts bracelets on all patients’ wrists, when admitted to floor.
Checks and report the unit’s materials availability to superiors (linen, gauzes, sets…).
Performs routine patients’ safety rounds on an hourly basis.
Performs nursing duties that meet the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and general needs of the patient and family, while maintaining institution requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards.
Communicates with team members about changes in the patient's clinical condition.
Abides by the requirements, of International Patient Safety Goals, national and international standards.
Ensures proper maintenance and use of medical equipment and report any misusage or malfunctioning to the direct supervisor.
