Our association is seeking a qualified, organized, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the association. The Accountant will play an important role in ensuring accurate financial records, proper budget management, transparent reporting, and compliance with the association’s financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Record and monitor daily financial transactions.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Monitor income, expenses, and project-related expenditures.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank and cash accounts.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring project budgets.
- Track expenses according to project and donor requirements.
- Prepare financial documentation for audits and donor reporting.
- Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of financial documents.
- Coordinate with management, project teams, and external partners regarding financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting procedures and internal policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience as an Accountant; NGO/association experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Strong skills in Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and responsibility.
- Arabic and English proficiency; French is an advantage.
