PHU works in close coordination with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) Lebanon, health sector partners, UN agencies, NGOs, health facilities, implementing partners, and other relevant stakeholders to support continuity of essential health services, strengthen preparedness and response capacities, and enhance access to healthcare services for vulnerable and affected populations across Lebanon.
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Programmes (HoP) in Lebanon and direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for carrying out a range of technical and administrative tasks supporting the implementation and monitoring of projects under the PHU ensuring timely and effective delivery consistent with IOM rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
-High school diploma with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in public health, communicable disease programmes, humanitarian programming or other related fields; or
-Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, health sciences or another related field from an accredited academic institution, with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in public health, including communicable disease or humanitarian programmes.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English and Arabic is required (oral and written).
Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
