Organization Context and Scope
Established in 2006, the Internation Organization for Migration (IOM) Lebanon has set a strong track record in delivering humanitarian life-saving services to the most vulnerable populations affected by crises, while developing models and partnerships for longer-term recovery and development. The Country Office is implementing activities across Lebanon.
In coordination with national and local authorities and humanitarian partners, IOM supports Site Management and Coordination (SMC), Shelter, Housing, Land and Property (HLP) and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) interventions aimed at improving living conditions and service delivery outcomes for populations residing in and out of displacement sites. IOM's Data and Research Unit (DRU) leads primary data collection and analysis through the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) and supports the data and research needs of IOM programmes.
Under the overall supervision of the Programme Coordinator (Shelter, SMC and HLP), and direct supervision of SMC Information Management (IM) Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for implementing IM functions within Shelter, SMC and HLP, and DRU Units.
Responsibilities
Tasks to be performed under this contract
1. Develop and maintain data collection tools and databases, including KoboToolbox/ODK forms, data entry templates, and structured data flows for programme units, ensuring compliance with the IOM Data Protection Principles at every stage of the data cycle.
2. Perform data cleaning, validation, deduplication, and consolidation of datasets received from field teams, implementing partners, and assessments, and document the procedures applied.
3. Prepare information management products, including Power BI dashboards, reports, factsheets, data visualizations, and operational and thematic maps produced in ArcGIS, in line with IOM reporting and visual identity standards.
4. Coordinate the timely release of information products to internal and external audiences, applying the applicable data sharing protocols and maintaining version control.
5. Maintain data storages and documentation, including user access rights to them, and geodatabases, and upload agreed datasets and products to corporate and other relevant information platforms.
6. Prepare technical guidance materials, including SOPs, user guides, and data dictionaries, and deliver training to IOM staff and partners on data collection and reporting tools to improve data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
7. Support monitoring and evaluation by contributing to indicator formulation, maintaining indicator tracking tables, and verifying reported figures against source data for internal and donor reporting.
8. Participate in information management working groups, respond to ad hoc data requests from management, and coordination bodies, and provide information management support.
9. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
