Humedica is an international non-governmental organization based in Kaufbeuren, Germany. Since 1979 humedica has been active in the field of humanitarian work with a focus on medical aid, operating projects in 90 countries around the world. Thanks to a voluntary team of highly qualified physicians, we are able to dispatch our teams on very short notice for highly efficient emergency and disaster relief operations. This commitment is complemented by medium- to long-term relief projects in the sector of development cooperation. Over 1000 medical professionals have volunteered to register for the humedica database. In addition, there are about 70 coordinators. As members of a voluntary team, all of them are willing and prepared to offer immediate help all over the world. At our headquarters in Kaufbeuren, we have approx. 30 full-time staff members and at times more than one hundred men and women are doing voluntary work. Furthermore, humedica receives support on a global level from volunteers, as well as local employees in the project countries. The objective of our international activities is to render aid to people in need by implementing purposeful relief measures and by utilizing any resources that are available.
