Himaya

himaya is a Lebanese non-governmental organization founded in 2008 to respond to child protection needs against violence.Today, himaya is a national reference for protection in Lebanon, working across the country to prevent violence, respond to abuse, and strengthen protection systems, with children at the center. himaya plays an active role at the national level, holding official mandates from the Ministry of Justice in multiple governorates to handle judicial protection cases. It is also an elected member of the Child Protection Sector Core Group, contributing to national strategies, coordination, and policy development. Through its role in hosting the LHDF (Lebanon Humanitarian & Development Forum), himaya supports the advancement of the localization agenda and contributes to strengthening the capacity and positioning of national NGOs in Lebanon.
