The Coordination Officer will have a set of responsibilities and is expected to work on a variety of tasks related to the core services provided by the Initiative in addition to ongoing or new projects. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinating projects, monitoring their progress, and ensuring deliverables are submitted based on set deadlines
• Coordinating the Initiative's day-to-day activities relating to its service portfolio
• Writing concept notes for new projects
• Writing detailed reports for ongoing projects
• Following up closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) engaged in NGOi activities
• Engaging with local and international NGOs and donors through stakeholders' meetings, business development meetings, and networking events
• Following up with organizations interested in NGOi services and maintaining stakeholder relationships
• Organizing and facilitating trainings and workshops, and following up with participants as needed
• Tracking the different kinds of data using tracking sheets and platforms
• Working closely with different team members, including the Initiative Manager, the Financial Manager, E-learning team, the Communications team, the Web Development team, and the Administrative team among others, to follow up on the flow of operations
• Conceptualizing and preparing promotional material for the initiative, including presentations and flyers/brochures
• Working with the Communications team to develop social media campaigns and promote digital material for the Initiative
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
• Background in project management, business management, public relations/administration, or another related/relevant field
• At least 5 years of experience coordinating projects and teams, with prior experience in the NGO sector
• Advanced writing skills and excellent report writing, presentation, and documentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic
• Proven analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work in teams and under pressure
• Public engagement experience
• Excellent editing, proofreading, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of marketing and communication principles and best practices, including social media, is an added value
• Familiarity with software applications (HTML, web-editing, web design, WordPress) is an added value
