FISTA is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator based in Beirut and Mount Lebanon (BML) to coordinate inclusive education activities and maintain regular follow-up with partner inclusive schools, community centers, non-formal education centers, and other educational and community-based service providers. The coordinator may also be required to travel to Baalbek-Hermel (BBH), South Lebanon (Jnoub), and Nabatiyeh, according to project needs. The role includes conducting regular field visits, liaising with educational institutions, community-based organizations, learning support teams, and relevant stakeholders, monitoring program implementation, progress, and emerging needs, and facilitating coordination with FISTA’s multidisciplinary team. The coordinator will also be responsible for documentation, reporting, and supporting the quality of inclusive education practices and disability-inclusive services across different educational and community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate program activities with partner inclusive schools in line with approved workplans and agreed timelines.
- Conduct regular school visits to monitor progress, identify emerging needs and barriers to participation and learning, and document agreed follow-up actions.
- Maintain regular communication with school management, learning support teams, teachers, and FISTA specialists to support effective collaboration and timely follow-up.
- Facilitate coordination and scheduling of specialized educational and therapeutic interventions, where applicable, in collaboration with FISTA’s multidisciplinary team.
- Organize school-based coordination meetings and case discussions, document action points, and follow up on their implementation while maintaining confidentiality.
- Identify educators’ capacity-strengthening needs and coordinate relevant coaching and training with FISTA’s team.
- Support referrals and communication between schools, families, and relevant service providers, in accordance with FISTA’s procedures and confidentiality requirements.
- Track activities, school visits, participation, and outputs against approved workplans and relevant project indicators.
- Prepare concise school visit reports, coordination updates, and periodic program progress reports.
- Identify and report implementation challenges, access barriers, and safeguarding concerns through FISTA’s established reporting channels.
- Work closely with FISTA management and program teams to support service quality and promote inclusive, child-centered practices that respect the rights and needs of children with disabilities.
- Coordinate logistics for school visits, meetings, training sessions, and related program activities.
- Undertake other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor, consistent with the role and agreed part-time working arrangements.
