The Human Resources Officer supports the Human Resources Coordinator in the day-to-day administration of the organization’s HR functions, working closely with staff across the organization’s programs and departments. This is a part-time, operationally focused role that requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and a solid understanding of HR administration, as well as an appreciation of the organization’s mission and values.

2. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Major Responsibilities
A. Recruitment & Selection Support
- Support the HR Coordinator in posting job openings and preparing job descriptions and advertisements.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews and assessments with candidates and hiring managers.
- Assist in maintaining a fair, transparent, and well-documented recruitment process.
B. Onboarding & Orientation
- Support the smooth transition of new employees into the organization.
- Coordinate orientation sessions covering the organization’s mission, values, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and process onboarding paperwork, including contracts, benefits enrollment, and tax forms.
- Maintain onboarding checklists and track completion for new hires.
C. Employee Records & HR Administration
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date employee files and HR databases.
- Track staff attendance, leave balances, and time sheets.
- Prepare HR correspondence, such as employment letters, certificates, and confirmation letters.
- Handle confidential employee information with discretion.
D. Payroll & Benefits Support
- Support employees with questions related to benefits enrollment, such as health insurance and leave entitlements.
E. Policy & Compliance Support
- Support communication of the organization’s HR policies and procedures to staff.
- Assist in maintaining HR documentation in line with Lebanese labor law requirements.
- Flag compliance gaps or outdated records to the HR Coordinator.
F. Training & Employee Engagement Support
- Assist with the logistics and coordination of training sessions and workshops.
- Support the planning and organization of employee engagement activities and team-building events.
G. HR Reporting
- Compile routine HR data and reports as requested by the HR Coordinator.
- Support data entry and quality checks for HR metrics and records.
Essential Qualifications
Education, Experience & Languages
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, or a related field. A certification or coursework in HR is an added value.
- At least 1 year of experience in an HR administrative or support role.
- Fluent in Arabic and English; French is a plus.
