I. About Developmental Action without Borders, Naba'a:

Developmental Action without Borders - Naba’a, is a Lebanese NGO operational since 2001. Registered under the Ministry of Interior (no. 104/AD), Naba’a is dedicated to serving all marginalized communities in Lebanon, especially children, without distinction of nationality, color, race, or religion. This includes communities within camps and gatherings in Lebanon, as well as local Lebanese communities.

II. Nabaa's Employment Screening and Protection Protocol:

Developmental Action without Borders, Naba’a, does not employ individuals who are married to children (persons under 18). Naba’a enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and discrimination. All prospective candidates must undergo thorough reference and background checks which will mainly verify employment history, professional performance, and adherence to the aforementioned policies. Furthermore, the selected candidates must provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening or an equivalent criminal record check as a condition of employment.

The ECE Teacher Will Carry the Following Deliverables:

1. Administrative and Documentation Responsibilities:

Entering data within set timeframes through ensuring completeness and accuracy

Handling the required personal profiles and documents of students

Completing daily preparation and documentation such as lesson plans and attendance sheets for morning and afternoon shifts

Reaching the target of children throughout the cycles by conducting field visits

2. Academic Responsibilities:

Conduct individualized assessments to identify students’ learning challenges and areas of improvement.

Collaborate with caregivers to gather insights into students’ academic progress and needs

Design ECE plans for students, considering their specific learning requirements and goals

Create engaging and age-appropriate learning materials to support ECE activities

3. Education and Teaching Responsibilities:

Conduct sessions with individual students or small groups, focusing on improving their reading, writing, listening and mathematics skills.

Use various teaching strategies and resources to address learning difficulties effectively.

Build a positive and encouraging relationship with students to boost their self-esteem and motivation

Create a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help

Insert active learning techniques in the lesson plan and classroom activities

4. Monitoring and Evaluation Responsibilities:

Continuously track and evaluate students’ progress adjusting plans as needed to ensure measurable improvement.

Maintain detailed records of each student’s performance and development.

5. Coordination and Caregiver Engagement Responsibilities:

Communicate regularly with the educational team caregivers to share progress updates and discuss strategies for improvement.

Participate in parent-teacher meetings to provide insights into students’ academic progress.

Conduct sessions for caregivers for ELM cards at home

6. Protection and Safeguarding Responsibilities:

Presenting complete commitment to Nabaa’s PSEA, safeguarding and anti-harassment policies as well as code of conduct

Guaranteeing children’s safety and security on all levels

Referring cases to the psychologist once concerns are raised that a child subjected to abuse or is at risk

Qualifications:

1. Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field in education.

Teaching certification and relevant teaching experience

2. Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of the educational challenges faced by students.

Proficiency in creating and implementing individualized plans

3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
