Job Overview

The Warehouse Monitor may be assigned to a designated warehouse in any region of Lebanon, depending on project requirements and operational needs.

The Warehouse Monitor is responsible for monitoring warehouse operations related to the storage and distribution of snacks under the project. The role ensures that warehouse conditions, stock handling, hygiene, food quality, order preparation, and dispatch activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements and applicable safety and quality standards.

The Warehouse Monitor works closely with suppliers, warehouse personnel, Area Monitors, Data & Reporting Officer and the Food Safety and Quality Officer to support the timely and proper distribution of snacks to targeted schools.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Monitoring: Conduct regular visits to the warehouse/s and monitor operations to ensure compliance with approved storage, handling, hygiene, quality, and safety requirements.
Cleanliness and Hygiene: Monitor warehouse cleanliness and hygiene conditions and ensure that snacks are stored under appropriate conditions to maintain their safety and quality.
Food Quality Monitoring: Conduct regular checks on the condition and quality of stored snacks, including packaging, expiry dates, and storage conditions, and promptly report any quality or food safety concerns to the Food Safety and Quality Officer.
Order Preparation and Follow-Up: Monitor the preparation and fulfillment of snack orders and verify that quantities are prepared accurately and in accordance with approved distribution plans.
Stock and Inventory Monitoring: Monitor incoming and outgoing stock and support the maintenance of accurate inventory records. Ensure that products are properly received, stored, organized, labeled, and dispatched.
Distribution and Truck Follow-Up: Monitor the loading and dispatch of snack orders and follow up on truck movements and delivery routes to support timely distribution to targeted schools.
Safety Compliance: Monitor adherence to warehouse safety procedures, including the safe storage, handling, loading, and movement of goods.
Safeguarding: Comply with DCL safeguarding policies and Code of Conduct and promptly report any safeguarding concerns or inappropriate behavior through the appropriate reporting channels.
Coordination and Communication: Maintain effective communication with Area Monitors, suppliers, warehouse personnel, and the Food Safety and Quality Officer to coordinate distribution activities and address operational or quality-related issues.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records related to warehouse monitoring, stock movements, orders, and deliveries, and submit regular reports on warehouse activities, snack quality, order status, and identified concerns.
Issue Escalation: Promptly report any discrepancies, damaged or non-compliant products, hygiene concerns, stock irregularities, delivery issues, or other incidents through the appropriate reporting line.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, Food Safety or another relevant field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, food safety, or a related field.
Knowledge of warehouse hygiene, safety, storage, and quality standards.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good computer skills, including applications used for data entry, recordkeeping, and reporting.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect.
Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
Must have access to a car and hold a valid driving license.
Ability and willingness to travel to the warehouse/s and other project locations as required.
Availability to start immediately is required
