Cedar Centre for Legal Studies (CCLS) is seeking a qualified and motivated Social Worker to support the work of its Rehabilitation Centre in Tripoli, which provides multidisciplinary support to persons affected by torture, ill-treatment, detention, displacement, and other forms of vulnerability.
The Social Worker will work under the direct supervision of the Rehabilitation Centre Coordinator and will support the Centre’s beneficiaries through social assessment, case follow-up, referrals, and coordination with relevant service providers.
Main responsibilities:
-Conduct initial social assessments and identify beneficiaries’ needs and vulnerabilities.
-Support case management and maintain appropriate follow-up with beneficiaries.
-Conduct outreach with NGOs, community-based organizations, and relevant service providers in Tripoli and surrounding areas to introduce CCLS Rehabilitation Centre services, establish professional contacts, identify potential referral pathways, and facilitate appropriate referrals to the Centre.
-Maintain regular communication with referral partners and follow up on referrals.
-Follow up on beneficiaries’ social and protection-related needs and identify gaps in available services.
-Maintain accurate and confidential case records and contribute to relevant documentation and reporting.
-Participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary case discussions when requested.
-Respect CCLS confidentiality, safeguarding, ethical, and data-protection procedures.
Working arrangement:
The position will initially be offered on a part-time basis for a three-month trial period, with the possibility of continuation and/or expansion depending on performance, organizational needs, and available funding.
The position is based at the CCLS Rehabilitation Centre near Al Nour Square in Majida Center, 9th Floor, Tripoli, North Lebanon. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Tripoli or in areas close to the CCLS Rehabilitation Centre.
