Senior Communication Officer - Sin El Fil in Lebanon at Caritas Lebanon

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Communication Officer plans and implements communication and visibility activities for Caritas Lebanon’s institutional and donor-funded projects, ensuring quality, timely delivery and compliance with donor requirements, Caritas Lebanon’s brand identity and organizational values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement project communication and visibility plans, campaigns and editorial calendars.
Coordinate communication deliverables with donors, partners, project teams and field staff.
Produce Arabic and English content for social media, publications, newsletters, events, reports and audiovisual materials.
Design communication materials including newsletters, booklets, brochures, factsheets, presentations, banners, social media content and other visibility products.
Prepare professional, print-ready files and artwork and coordinate production with printing houses and suppliers.
Provide photography, video and field coverage and produce reels, interviews, testimonials and short videos.
Organize and support events, donor visits, launches, workshops and media activities.
Ensure compliance with donor visibility requirements, Caritas Lebanon branding, safeguarding, informed consent and data-protection standards.
Maintain communication archives, trackers and reports.
Support emergency and institutional communication activities as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in advertising, Graphic Design, Multimedia and Communication.
2-3 years of relevant experience, including experience managing communication projects, campaigns or donor deliverables.
Strong professional portfolio in design, content, photography and video.
Experience with NGOs, international organizations, donors or humanitarian projects is an advantage.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Strong proficiency in:

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Graphic design, layout, newsletter and booklet production, print preparation and print-ready file creation.
Photography and basic video editing.
Microsoft Office.
Social media, digital publishing, email marketing and content-management tools.
AI-assisted communication and creative tools.

Knowledge of GA4, Meta Business Suite and digital advertising tools is an advantage.

LANGUAGES

Excellent Arabic and English, written and spoken.
French is an advantage.

CORE COMPETENCIES

Creative, highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong writing, design, storytelling, coordination and problem-solving skills, strong team spirit. Able to manage multiple deadlines, work independently, collaborate effectively and operate under pressure, work long hours when needed.
