Baitna NGO

Baïtna was established by volunteers who regularly meet mentally challenged individuals to share their friendship, prayers, and to celebrate life. Based on their experience, especially with those having aging parents, the founders felt the need to care for them after the passing away of their parents in a place they can call home. Their parents often ask: “what will happen to our children after us”. This is where Baïtna can contribute to society by ensuring the continuity of support with dignity. With the help and generosity of caring donors, the association has erected a five-storey building in Fanar to host up to 40 residents and 15 helpers. The first floor was inaugurated in October 2015 and the second earlier this year. The first house currently hosts 12 persons while the second hosts 13 persons. They are taken care of by 8 committed helpers.
