GBV Outreach Assistant - South - Nabatiye-Iqleem el Teffeh

Conduct regular community outreach activities to identify and engage potential participants, raise awareness of available protection services, and strengthen community knowledge of Child Protection and GBV prevention and response mechanisms.

Facilitate age, gender, and context-appropriate protection awareness sessions for children, adolescents, caregivers, women, girls, and community members.

Disseminate accurate, accessible, and appropriate information on available CP and GBV services, referral pathways, protection risks, prevention measures, and available support.

Support the CP and GBV teams in identifying barriers that prevent individuals and communities from accessing protection services and contribute to appropriate solutions.

Support the identification of children and adults who may require protection assistance and facilitate safe and timely referrals through established referral pathways and in coordination with the relevant protection focal points.

Support community-based initiatives that promote child safety, positive parenting, prevention of violence, inclusion, and the protection of children and other at-risk groups.

Promote meaningful and safe participation of community members in protection activities, ensuring that children and vulnerable individuals are not exposed to additional risks through participation.

Engage with community leaders, local authorities, community-based organizations, women’s and youth groups, and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen awareness and acceptance of protection activities.

Establish and maintain professional, respectful, and culturally sensitive relationships with community members while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

Monitor community feedback and concerns related to protection activities and communicate relevant information to the CP/GBV team for appropriate follow-up.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of outreach activities, attendance, referrals, community feedback, and other required program information, in accordance with data protection procedures.

Prepare timely and accurate field reports and activity updates and communicate emerging protection concerns to the supervisor or relevant focal point.

Participate in weekly team meetings, protection coordination meetings, trainings, case/referral discussions where appropriate, and other relevant meetings.

Prepare and submit timely weekly, monthly and other required reports.

Comply with Nabad’s Code of Conduct, PSEA, child safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection and other relevant organizational policies.

Perform other protection-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
