Child Protection Case Worker - South Lebanon Iqleem el Teffeh & Sahel Zahrani

Provide quality, child-centered case management services, including identification, assessment, risk and safety planning, case action planning, referrals, follow-up and case closure.

Ensure that children are meaningfully involved in decisions affecting them, in an age- and developmentally appropriate manner, while taking into consideration their best interests and evolving capacities.

Engage and support parents, caregivers and other relevant persons, as appropriate, to strengthen the child’s safety, well-being and protective environment.

Facilitate safe and confidential referrals to appropriate protection, health, MHPSS, education, legal and other specialized services, in line with established referral pathways and appropriate consent/assent procedures.

Apply the principles of confidentiality, safety, non-discrimination, child participation and the best interests of the child throughout the case management process.

Respond appropriately to urgent and high-risk child protection cases and immediately escalate serious protection concerns in accordance with established procedures.

Maintain accurate, complete and confidential case files and ensure the safe handling and storage of sensitive information.

Ensure timely documentation and appropriate use of approved child protection case management and information management tools, including Primero/CPIMS where applicable.

Identify protection risks, service-access barriers and emerging child protection concerns/trends and report relevant gaps or risks to the supervisor through established mechanisms.

Contribute to child protection awareness, outreach and information sessions for children, caregivers and relevant community structures, ensuring that activities are safe, inclusive and age-appropriate.

Support the identification and strengthening of community-based protective mechanisms and promote safe access to available child protection services.

Participate in relevant team meetings, case reviews, case conferences, supervision, coordination and capacity-building activities.

Prepare and submit timely weekly, monthly and other required reports using accurate, non-identifying and aggregated information.

Document project progress through tracking attendance sheets, observations, photos, case management tracker

Represent Nabad in relevant coordination forums, including working groups and sectoral coordination meetings, and actively contribute to discussions, information sharing, and joint planning.

Participate in delivering awareness-raising sessions to beneficiaries, including girls, boys, women, and men.

Maintain close coordination with specialized PSS teams to ensure that children and their caregivers are appropriately referred between case management and PSS services, as needed.

Contribute to capacity-building and awareness activities for community volunteers, caregivers and relevant community structures on child protection, safe identification, referral pathways, safeguarding and other relevant topics.

Comply with Nabad’s Code of Conduct, PSEA, child safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection and other relevant organizational policies.

Maintain professional boundaries and contribute to a respectful, inclusive and child-safe working environment.

Willingness to work flexible hours when required by urgent child protection cases or program needs, in accordance with organizational policies.

Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.
