BLN Teacher - Bekaa-Hermel

Deliver structured Basic Literacy and Numeracy (BLN) sessions to assigned children in accordance with the approved curriculum, methodology, and program objectives.

Conduct and support baseline, formative, and endline assessments to identify students' literacy and numeracy levels and monitor their progress.

Plan and prepare targeted lesson plans and learning activities based on students' identified learning levels and needs.

Group students according to their learning levels, where appropriate, and provide targeted individual or small-group support.

Adapt teaching methodologies, activities, pacing, and learning materials to meet students' different learning levels, abilities, and needs.

Use interactive, learner-centered, participatory, and age-appropriate teaching methodologies to promote active learning and student engagement.

Provide additional reinforcement and individualized support to students who experience difficulties in acquiring targeted literacy or numeracy skills.

Regularly assess and monitor students' progress and use assessment results to adapt teaching strategies and learning activities.

Create, administer, and grade appropriate formal and informal assessments to measure student learning and progress.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance, assessment results, progress tracking, and other required documentation.

Adapt learning activities and materials to support the meaningful participation of children with disabilities and children with additional learning needs, in coordination with relevant staff when required.

Manage student behavior using positive and appropriate classroom management techniques.

Create and maintain a safe, respectful, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, confidence, motivation, and engagement.

Support students in building self-confidence, independence, concentration, problem-solving abilities, and positive learning habits.

Ensure that all activities promote children's participation, protection, inclusion, and psychosocial well-being.

Communicate regularly with the direct supervisor regarding students' progress, attendance, learning gaps, challenges, and support needs.

Communicate with parents/caregivers when required to support students' attendance, participation, and learning progress.

Identify and report any child protection, safeguarding, or other concerns in accordance with the organization's policies and referral procedures.

Work collaboratively with Education Officers, Coordinators, other teachers, and relevant staff to ensure effective program implementation.

Participate actively in team meetings, trainings, coaching sessions, classroom observations, and professional development opportunities.

Apply feedback received through supervision, coaching, and classroom observations to improve teaching practices and student learning outcomes.
